Climate Justice for Pakistan

Our thoughts and solidarity are with the people of Pakistan as they suffer the impacts
of catastrophic climate change: a record heatwave with temperatures reaching above
50C in June followed by extremely severe flooding in August/September. Thirty-three
million people have been affected by the floods which have killed more than a
thousand people and destroyed the homes of over two hundred thousand more.

Said Hussain Jarwar of Indus Consortium, Pakistan: “This is a case of climate injustice
where the poor and an emerging economy are suffering the most from climate-induced
disasters”
